Admission Procedures

Eligibility:

Those who have passed P.U.C or any equivalent Course are eligible to seek admission to undergraduate courses.

Admissions will be made to the Degree classes as per the regulations of the State Government, the University and the College. Dates for the issue and submission of the application forms will be announced in the college notice board. Duly filled in application forms should be submitted on or before the last date. Applications submitted after the last date will not be entertained.

A candidate who has passed two years Pre-university Examinations conducted by Pre-university Board of Karnataka or any other examination considered as equivalent thereto by the University of Mysore is eligible for admission to the first semester of the course.

Note: All the benefits and privileges extended by the Government to SC/ST and students of other Categories are available.

(a) Students who have passed any JOC (10+2) are eligible to join the B.A. course

(b) Students who have passed (10+2) are eligible to join the B.Com., course.

(i) A candidate who has passed 3 years Diploma in Commercial and Secretarial Practice conducted by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka is eligible for admission to III semester B.Com/B.B.M. directly. However such candidates have to pass the language of first two semesters. Such candidates will not be subjected to any IA in these papers. And, for eventual calculation 80 marks is equated to 100 marks.

(ii) A Candidate who has passed a two-year Diploma in Business Administration conducted by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka is eligible for admission to V semester B.Com course subject to condition that the candidate has to pass papers in languages and all compulsory papers of first four semesters of B.Com. Such candidates will not be subjected to any IA in these papers. However, for eventual calculation 80 marks is equated to 100 marks.

Certificates to be produced at the time of admission:

  • Transfer Certificate (Original + 2 Copies)
  • Character Certificate (Original + 2 Copies)
  • Income Declaration Form signed by the Tahsildar is required for students whose parents annual income is below Rs. 2 lakhs for category I and within the limit of Rs. 44,500/- for students of other categories who are eligible for free concession.
  • SC/ST/ Certificate for students from other Universities
  • Stamp Size Photographs (Three)
  • Stamped Self-addressed envelopes (Two)

Note: All the benefits and privileges by the Govt. to SC/ST students and those of other Categories are made available to them in this college in respect of each course.
